A production drawing from the Walt Disney Studios animated film "Sleeping Beauty" (1959). Featuring Princess Aurora, AKA Briar Rose singing with her arms up in the air, the graphite drawing was created at the studio by Disney artist Marc Davis and used during the animation process. Drawn to match Eyvind Earle's brilliant background artwork, Aurora became one of the more sophisticated of the Disney Princesses up to that time with angular and precise features. Measuring 12.5"x15.5" overall, with a character image measuring 5.5"x2.25", the drawing is in very good condition with light handling wear and discoloration due to age.
